Application

  • Papain is a strong proteolytic enzyme obtained from the latex of Carica papaya. Papain precursor protein contains 345 amino acid residues. Refined papain is soluble in water and insoluble in most organic solvents.

    • Utilized in the production of cheese, beer, and certain fermented food products and meat tenderisation.
    • It is utilized in medications for indigestion, inflammation, and wound healing.
    • Exfoliating and rejuvenating ingredient in skin care products like facial cleansers, masks, and scrubs.
    • Whitening agent in toothpastes.
    • Helps remove dead tissue, promote new cell growth, and reduce the risk of infection.
